District Cub Scout Conker Tournament

We were blessed with a beautiful morning for the Crawley District Cub Conker Competition today; a welcome return to the district calendar of events post Covid.

Despite the many demands on time and the wide range of activities which our young people enjoy beyond Scouting, the event was well attended, but we’d like to do even better next year!

Two leagues produced a winner and runner up in each who then progressed to the semi finals and a grand final.

Dougie, from 2nd Ifield, was crowned as champion and Adam, from 4th Worth, the runner up following a closely fought final.

Thank you to all the leaders and supporters who gave their time finding conkers, refereeing matches and providing refreshments. Without you, none of this would have been possible.

All the cubs were extremely well behaved, sporting and, above all, had lots of fun. What a great morning!
