GDPR

The aim of this module is to provide all adults in Scouting with an understanding of what the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) means for them, their Scout Group, District and County and how to effectively align with it. Start GDPR

Trustee Introduction

The aim of this module is to provide the Charity or managing Trustees with information on their legal responsibilities and current regulations. You only need to complete this module if you have a role as a trustee / Executive Committee member. Start Trustee Introduction

Tools for the Role (Section Leaders) (03)

The aim of this module is to provide the basic information on the individual’s role or area of responsibility and some practical help to get the individual started in the role. Section Leaders start the module

Tools for the Role (Managers and Supporters) (04)

The aim of this module is to provide key information about the individual’s role, areas of responsibility and where they can find further information and support. Start Training

First Aid

Delivering a Quality Programme (12A)

The Fundamentals of Scouting (05)

The Fundamentals of Scouting is for all adults in Scouting working towards the award of their Wood Badge. Discover the module

07: Scouting for all

This module is for Section Leaders, Assistant Section Leaders, Managers and Supporters working towards their Wood Badge. Discover the module

11: Administration

This module is for Section Leaders, Assistant Section Leaders, Managers and Supporters working towards their Wood Badge. It is also for Administrators who wish to undertake further training. Discover the module

08: Skills of Leadership

Skills of Leadership is aimed at Section Leaders in Scouting. It aims to provide them with the knowledge and skills to define what leadership is, plan systematically, lead effectively by demonstrating a range of leadership styles and understand how different leadership styles impact on learning..Learn more about this module

09: Working with Adults

Working with Adults is aimed at Section Leaders in Scouting. It aims to provide them with the knowledge and skills to communicate effectively with other adults and understand how teams work, including the different roles people play and how different personality types impact on teams. 12A: Delivering a quality programme

Delivering a Quality Programme is a mandatory module for those who are completing a Wood Badge. Learn more about this module

12B: Programme Planning

Programme Planning provides section leaders with an opportunity to plan and review a sectional programme including the use of a variety of methods to generate programme ideas. Learn more about this module

13: Growing the section

This module covers ways in which an adult volunteering with a section can assist their line manager and others to plan for and contribute to the growth of their section and/or group. Learn more about this module

14: Supporting Young People

This module is aimed at all section leaders and other adults supporting young people in Scouting. It aims to enable adult volunteers working with young people, to understand and meet their needs. Learn more about this module

15: Promoting Positive Behaviour

This module is aimed at all section leaders and other adults supporting young people in Scouting. It aims to enable adult volunteers to proactively promote positive behaviour and appropriately manage challenging behaviour in their section. Learn more about this module

16: An Introduction to Residential Experiences

This module aims to enable section leaders and those who may support residential experiences for young people, as part of their role in Scouting, to understand the role that residential experiences play in Scouting. Learn more about this module

17: Running Safe Activities

This module is for Section Leaders and Section Supporters in Scouting. It helps them recognise the importance of both indoor and outdoor activities as part of a balanced programme. Learn more about this module

18: Practical Skills

This module is for Section Leaders and Section Supporters in Scouting wishing to train, coach or otherwise help young people and adults develop practical skills. Learn more about this module

19: International

This module aims to provide participants with a global focus appropriate to their section and an appreciation of the international nature of Scouting. Learn more about this module
