The campfire is one of the best Scouting activities and this one was the very best. Songs that Beavers delight in, delivered enthusiastically by Joe and Adam – brilliant. Then a long walk home with an Easter egg and commemorative blanket badge.
So many happy families, smiles and joy. This is what volunteering through Scouts is all about. Many of the Leaders who put on this event were doing this sort of thing for the first time, sharing the experience with others. They did incredibly well and could do even more with more volunteers
All members of the District are next invited for the Queen’s Jubilee event on the 4th June at Stanford.
