40th National Scout Shooting Championships

Over the weekend of Fri 14th to Sun 16th Oct over 40 members of Crawley District took part in the 40th National Scout Shooting Championships. The event is held every year and approx. 800 shooters from across the UK take part in a large number of shooting events. This year the District was very successful with 7 Medals and Trophies being won.

Crawley Cub 100 Birthday Party – Celebrated in Style!

On Sat 18th June, over 200 Cubs from Crawley District celebrated the centenary of Cub Scouting in style. They met up with Leaders and other adults and friends at Blacklands Farm Guide Site at 8am, East Grinstead before hiking to Kingscote Station where they boarded their very own chartered train for the day. After a short journey South to Sheffield Park they spent 3 hours going round the Museum, Engine Shed, Shop, having lunch and watching a specially prepared DVD which covered the last 100 years of history, gadgets, aviation and Scouting. Ready Steady Cook 2016

Senior Cub Competition Day

On Sat 16th May 2015, 4 teams took part in a Senior Cub Competition Day at Stanfords. The weather was brilliant and the Cubs very well behaved. As well as doing these activities there was time for some well earned lunch cooked on the open fires, Marshmallows in Choc Chip Cookies and some wide games. All participants will be presented with a certificate and 2nd Ifield will go forward to represent the District in the County Championships in Sept.
