5th Crawley Brave the Elements for a 60th Anniversary Hike

Beavers, Cubs and Scouts from 5th Crawley braved the chilly conditions today to take part in a Group hike, starting in Maidenbower and hiking to and from their headquarters in Three Bridges. Hot chocolate, teas and coffees and plenty of cake refuelled everyone at the half-way point, and all those who took part received a special badge, which was designed by section members to celebrate the Group’s anniversary in 2018 and can be worn on uniforms for the year.

This was the first of three celebration events planned for 2018; in June the Group will be running a Group Camp at Stanford Scout Campsite in Pease Pottage and in September there will be a celebration family fun day at the Gatwick Aviation Museum.
