Scouting Programme / Brand Refreshed for 2015

Programme Refresh

Scouting has been around for 111 years, but that doesn’t mean things don’t change.

The new, refreshed, programme for 2015 is designed to ensure that the activities, badges and challenges of Scouting meet the needs of today’s young people, whilst continuing our Scouting traditions.

For more details of the national programme refresh, visit the Scout Association’s Programme 2015 Website. Alternatively, you can watch the video below highlighting the main changes:

Over the coming months, our own young people here in Crawley will be moving onto the new badge requirements, and section leaders will be keeping parents and young people informed about the changes.

Brand Refresh

To coincide with the launch of the revised Programme UK Scouting have also refreshed the five section brands. The revised brands are now more clearly part of a single family and have now been updated on this website. This makes them more recognisable and underlines the links between the sections. This complements the progression in the balanced programme itself. Each section brand retains its individual identity.

They were developed with young people at workshops around the UK. The final artwork was designed in house by The Scout Association’s own Creative and Design Team.
