County Explorer Shooting Competition

On a wet and blustery Sunday 20th Oct, Crawley District entered 2 teams into the West Sussex County Explorer Shooting Competition which was held at 4th Worth Scout Hut. Each team consisted of 4 explorers with teams having to shoot in 7 different events. 6yd Rifle, 6yd Pistol, 10m Rifle, 10m Pistol, Run/Shoot, Field Target and Crossbows.

After all events were complete Crawley ended up with the girls team (Emily Hamshaw, Mirjam Mordavszky, Freya Dodiomead and Quinn Curnick) getting first place and the boys team (Nathan Head, Leo Ventham, Toby Foord and Kieran Simmonds) getting second place.  In the individual competition Emily won best shot of the day winning the 6yd Pistol and 10m Pistol whilst Mirjam won the 10m Rifle, Freya won the Run/Shoot and Quinn the 6yd Rifle.

Overall a great result for the individuals and the teams.
