In October half-term Drake ESU, along with members of 2nd Ifield Scouts and Shackleton ESU, travelled to North Wales for their annual mountain activity weekend.
Friday saw them hiking and climbing in the Ogwen Valley. Tackling routes despite the wet and windy conditions
On Saturday everyone went on a big hike in the Berwyns, a wild and isolated mountain ridge. The weather had deteriorated and in was the first time that most of the group had walked inside clouds.
Despite the conditions everyone did well, hiking nearly 20km across the mountains to reach our accommodation and a well-earned roast dinner.
After clearing up on Sunday there was time for a quick hike for the young people before heading home.
