Poland Jamboree Participant Selection – Crawley Scouts

Crawley Scouts are proud to announce that three of our Explorer Scouts have been successfully selected to join the West Sussex Unit travelling to the World Scout Jamboree in Poland in 2027!

After a demanding three-stage selection processHarry Wood from Drake ESUGabriella Abbott from Neil Armstrong ESU, and Toby Foord from Shackleton ESU have earned their places to represent Crawley and West Sussex on this incredible international adventure.

The journey to selection was no easy task. It began with a written application, followed by an exciting and challenging selection weekend packed with practical and team-based activities. Participants took part in:

  • Caving and pioneering challenges
  • Outdoor cooking and tent pitching
  • Angel throwing (a unique test of skill and focus!)
  • Team-building games and problem-solving tasks
  • A youth forum discussion to share ideas and demonstrate leadership
  • Hammocking, showcasing resilience and a sense of adventure

From this weekend, six Scouts progressed to the final interview stage, where their enthusiasm, teamwork, and dedication truly shone through.

Congratulations to Harry, Gabriella, and Toby on their well-deserved achievement! They now begin an exciting journey preparing for the 2027 Jamboree, where they’ll join Scouts from around the world to share experiences, learn new skills, and live out the spirit of international Scouting.

We can’t wait to follow their adventures as they represent Crawley Scouts and make lifelong memories in Poland!
