King Scout Awards

Congratulation to Alex and Courtney who have completed their King Scout Award (a top Scouting Award a young person can achieve)

On Monday they were presented with their award by acting County Lead Volunteer Matt Pike.

They can now look forward to taking part in the St George’s Day Parade, now called the Day of Celebration and Achievement which takes in the Quadrangle of Windsor Castle (a private area, which is a privilege for us to use) fills with around 2,000 award holders and guests. The King’s Scouts will march into the Quadrangle where the Parade will be reviewed by a representative of the Royal Family.

The Parade marches through the Castle and down to St George’s Chapel, where they’ll take part in the National Scout Service.

For Courtney, this completed her set of top awards that can be earned by a youth member. Courtney now has the Kings Scout Award, Scouts of the World Award, Explorer Belt and Gold DofE award, in doing so becomes the first Scout Network member in Crawley District to achieve them all. Wow, what an achievement!
