National Celebration of Achievements

On Sunday Scouts from around the Country celebrated Scouting’s Parton Saint, St George, including our own event in Crawley.

For all those who achieved their King Scout Award (the top award a young person can achieve) in the past year they are invited to the National Celebration of Achievements in Windsor Castle. Here they parade in the Castle’s Quadrangle by special invite of the King, in front of Bear Grylls, Chief Scout, and the Lord Lieutenant for Berkshire. Following this they all attended a special service in the Castle Chapel where they all renewed their promise.

This year the district were represented by Phoebe Woolard, Zoe Grimshaw, Katie Scholler and Hayley Hartwell.

A great day and experience for them all, an event they will not forget.
