Crawley Network – Explorer Belt

Congratulations to six members (Sam, Matthew, Ania, Adam, Tom and Joe) of Crawley District Scout Network who have recently completed their Explorer Belt in the Netherlands. The Explorer Belt is a challenge of a lifetime. It is a chance to take part in a ten day expedition that allows the participants to build a real understanding of a different country, its culture and way of life. They develop this understanding by travelling through their chosen country, working as part of a small team to complete a series of projects and most importantly by meeting local people. It is an experience and an achievement that they will remember for the rest of your life.

Whilst in the Netherlands they completed 10 challenges including exploring a local church, trying 5 new cheeses, cooking Stamppot and Stroopwaffle which is a traditional Dutch meal and translating the Scout Promise / Law into the native language.

You can see all of their adventures by visiting the Netherland Explorer Belt News Page here.
