In February Harley Raine asked her grandfather what he wanted for a Birthday present; he replied the Callum Cup.  On the 23rd of that month she took it to him having just won the British junior Woman’s Championship, just 0.1 of a point behind the Senior Women’s Winner.

During these events, the six months of the National “Camelot” league passed by, finishing at the end of June with a total of 15 Gold, 12 Silver, 5 Bronze and 4 Competitor medals, Roger Monksummers the organiser commented on how well we had done, little was he to know better was to come.

In August four of the 4th worth rifle team travel to Bisley to represent “The Scout Association” in the junior internationals. Teams from Africa, Europe and the America’s were there. The haul was 7 gold medals and 1 silver.

September saw our two precision air rifle shooters travel to Brussels, to take part in the champion of champions. Taking on the best in Europe, in this competition they had qualified for last year by winning the junior men’s and junior women’s Welsh open championships. There were two qualifiers in Brussels at each category; Harley finished first and second in hers, while Max finished third in both junior men’s

The finals were very exciting a second for Harley and a fourth for Max.

We also attended the Scout Championships with over 800 other scouts taking part. The results exceeded any expectation we could have hoped for.
