Archery Permits

Over the weekend of 10-11th June 12 Adults attended GB Archery Instructor Course at Broadstone Warren Campsite in East Sussex. It was an intense course lead by GB Archery Coach Arthur Scales and over the weekend the participants learnt about the equipment, range safety, planning a session and instructing young people and other adults, improved their skills and some even learnt to shoot!

The course concluded on Sunday afternoon with a through assessment carried out by another GB Archery Coach who observed each adult in turn run sessions and provide instruction to other participants; this was followed by a question and answer session. The prior evening was spent completing a theory paper about the information learnt earlier in the day.

We are pleased to reveal that Ian Head, Kelly George, Adam Cook, Richard Page, Bev Hills, Paul Carruthers, Alan Spackman, Eddy Hills, Pauline Maddocks, Gemma Hobbs, Craig Edwards and Rob Pullinger all successful passed the course. It is hoped that over the coming weeks that the Permits from The Scout Association will be issued so that they can run sessions for their Groups and District alongside our current permit holders Stefan Bolin, Gareth Stapylton, Allen Heath and Jeremy Ridley.

We will let you know as soon as they have all received their permits.

Look out for further opportunities if you too are interested in gaining this skill to share with our youth members.
