We would like to say thank you to all of our volunteers.

Our Founder’s birthday is an occasion for Scouts everywhere to celebrate. Today, 22 February, we recall our Scouting adventures, meet our Scouting friends, proudly wear our scarves and celebrate the great diversity of our worldwide Movement. Today is also a time for us to renew our commitment to creating a better world.

The Founder believed the Scouts helps young people by providing opportunities for them to look wide, beyond their own needs, to the wider needs of humanity itself. His thoughts are still relevant today. In a world facing burning challenges such as armed conflict, poverty, hunger, climate change and gender inequality, The Scouts continues to provide a constructive response by empowering young people to actively contribute in finding solutions to these global challenges by taking action locally.

None of this would be possible though without our amazing volunteers – Their support for the Scouts is – quite simply – amazing. It’s their commitment and kindness that makes the Scouts work. If you are interested in joining them or finding out more, please do contact us.

To all of our volunteers, thank you for your time – your generosity is truly inspiring. We know that you balance Scouts with your work, family and other commitments, and we never take this for granted. Thank you for your encouragement – we’re so proud of the care you show towards our young people and other volunteers. You live our Scout values. Thank you for your commitment – by passing on your skills and encouragement you are truly preparing young people with skills for life. As a little thank you, the Scouts have organised some additional discounts you may be interested in.
