Young Leaders celebrated by Crawley Lions Club

On Monday 24th April five Young Leaders were presented with certificates by Crawley Lions Club in recognition of completing 100 hours of volunteering as part of the Lions’ “Young Leaders in Service” programme.  The Young Leaders and their families were joined by District Commissioner Eddy Hills, District Chair Wendy Keeley, ESL (YL) Denise Kilpatrick and AESL (YL) Jayne Dalton.

Crawley Lions’ 1st Vice President Lion Chris Cook presented the certificates after giving a presentation on the activities of the Lions Club, supported by 2nd Vice President Lion Rob Pullinger (also GSL at 1st Langley Green Scout Group).

Lion Rob said “These certificates are a recognition of the excellent service these Young People have given and continue to give to our community, not only as Young Leaders in Scouting, but also through other voluntary service. They are an inspiration to others and we hope to be able to recognise many more Young Leaders in the future.”
